Technology Education is
a hands-on instructional program with a focus on teaching broad concepts
and principles through concrete experiences, which involve a variety of
senses. Technology Education challenges students to apply mathematics and science concepts in a laboratory setting to find solutions to exciting and relevant problems. Technology Education helps students understand resources, processes, and outputs as they relate to technology and recognize that these elements are common to all technological systems. Technology Education requires knowledge, awareness, decision-making, critical thinking and leadership. Students will apply problem-solving techniques in the search for solutions to technological problems. Technology Education gives students experiences in analyzing and evaluating the implications of technology upon the environment and society, now and in the future.
