Hannibal School District - Technology Education program is.......

Technology Education is a hands-on instructional program with a focus on teaching broad concepts and principles through concrete experiences, which involve a variety of senses.

Technology Education helps students develop skills in the use of Technological tools and systems.

Technology Education challenges students to apply mathematics and science concepts in a laboratory setting to find solutions to exciting and relevant problems.

Technology Education helps students understand resources, processes, and outputs as they relate to technology and recognize that these elements are common to all technological systems.

Technology Education requires knowledge, awareness, decision-making, critical thinking and leadership. Students will apply problem-solving techniques in the search for solutions to technological problems.

Technology Education gives students experiences in analyzing and evaluating the implications of technology upon the environment and society, now and in the future.

Technology is satisfying needs and wants.

Technology is the means by which people control and change their environment.

Technology is making things work better.

Technology is the use of knowledge to turn resources into goods and services that society needs.

Technology is the application of accumulated human knowledge to the transformation of resources, through the use of tools, for the purpose of meeting human needs and solving problems.

Technology is providing us with many Improvements, but positive or negative effects will be determined by the way it is applied.

Technology is comprised of systems and many similarities exist among all technological systems.

Technology is the technical means that people employ in order to improve the quality of life.

Technology is common to all technologies with recurring elements, which include Inputs, process, resources outputs, feedback and control.
